Early this year I did a couple family sessions with piano students of mine! The Carters and I got together on a chilly, bright Sunday afternoon at nearby New Brighton Park to capture some golden hour shots. I've been teaching Elliot and Allyson for years now, they feel almost like family! It was really fun to work with a family I already knew– right into it without any of the initial awkwardness or getting comfortable!

I really loved the way the gold light looked in the yellow grass. In a lot of these, it weren't for their coats, you'd never know it was dead of winter!
