romantic and intimate kinphoto session
Ok ok ok, I'm obsessed!!!
When Tora reached out interested in a personal shoot, I knew it was going to be a good one. She had a clear artistic vision right from the get-go, an artist herself, which is honestly pretty rare with these intimate sessions!
That amazing backdrop set-up with the frames and drapery? All her, in her own space with perfect natural lighting. We agreed on having florals as a through-theme, something romantic and artistic contrasting with the poured concrete floors and exposed industrial ceiling of her Mount Pleasant loft. The blushy sunrise pinks and yellows of the flowers added such a beautiful pop to our otherwise neutral palette.
From wardrobe to make up & hair (provided by her pal, the extremely talented Maxine Munson), to the aformentioned set-up, I knew upon arrival it was gonna be amazing! Tora was a total dream to shoot, so easy to direct but also with a personal vision of what she wanted, things she wanted to try. I just love when people come equipped with things they want to try out to a shoot, whether it's in their own heads or even if they have some inspo to show me. These shoots are so much different than something like a wedding or an engagement/couple/family shoot, and while collaboration is always the game with me, these shoots are especially meant to be coming together to create art together.
Tora was a truly wonderful co-artist!
