When you have family/friends with a backyard like this, is there any question where you're gonna get hitched?

Lucky me, working with Michelle Chartrand again for this gorgeous sun-soaked wedding at a private residence in Langley! 2nd shooting for Michelle is always a joy, super chill and collaborative and I always know I'm gonna have a great time!

My day started super relaxed at Justin's place getting ready with his crew of guys who were stress-free, relaxed, having a couple drinks and kicking back before things got underway. I thought maybe this was the calm before the storm, but really.... it was just the calm before more calm. 

​

I got to the ceremony/reception location and through the private front gate behind the headquarters of the business the house-owners run, things looked pretty unassuming at first. But follow the little path leading from the driveway into the trees and the most beautiful backyard complete with a little stream & wooden bridge unfolded. We're talking multiple lawns cozily ensconced in privacy-giving trees, babbling water, lush garden, sun-dappled soft summer grass.... heavenly! It felt like a dreamy little meadow in the woods, not a backyard in the middle of a semi-industrial area of Langley!

The whole day progressed to match- a sweet and short ceremony punctuated by Justin & Megan's adorable daughter stealing the spotlight, the most fun bridal party photo session I've ever seen followed by a beautiful & relaxed bride & groom portrait session, the perfect summery cocktail hour filled with amazing snacks and fun lawn-games, and then a series of speeches that had the intimate guestlist in stitches.

Oh and the surprise highlight? The most BOMB herbal lemonade EVER. I STILL think about it! Basil and mint?! Whodathunk.
