Ok, LOVE. LOVE this couple, LOVE this venue, LOVE!

I had the pleasure of shooting again for Nomad by NK, this time with Kerstin who is so sunny and sweet (just like this wedding haha). Brew Creek, which tragically is actually closing its doors to weddings for future years after this summer, is the most incredible spot nestled within the mountains south of Whistler. Again, these self-contained venues with lodging + ceremony + reception all in the same area always make for super relaxed days with easygoing timelines.

We poked our heads in on Michaela getting ready in her cabin before I moseyed through the beautiful creekside forest path to were the guys were getting ready. Eoian, a proud Irish transplant, was in his element surrounded from his boys from back home who had made the long trip to be there for him on his big day. SUPER fun group, absolutely living up to the whole Irish reputation!

And a stroke of genius? Lacking minibar space in the rooms, these clever lads took some literal inspiration from the venue name and stored all their booze in a little eddy of the creek to keep cool. Get it? Brew Creek? Ha!

The super bright and sunny ceremony on the lawn was an emotional affair, Eoian getting choked up right upon seeing Michaela being escorted by her father across the lawn from her cabin towards him, and there were plenty more tears to follow. Casual family/friends photos after were punctuated with beautiful and delicious signature drinks and hors d'oeuvres prepared by the famed kitchen (seriously, the food here, guys. The food and their farming efforts etc are apparently what they are going to be focusing on going forward. Go have a meal. Seriously!!!).

The speeches were all excellent, but Eoian's best man really stole the show. Less like a wedding speech and more like a stand-up comedy set!

A quick cake cutting and we were off for some last moody forest-y portraits in the fading light. On our way back, Michaela changed from her classic duchess satin A-line gown into a flirty modern shirt-dress perfect for dancing the night away, and that's just what they proceeded to do!
